Inspiring Boomers to Action

There is a pandemic afflicting Baby Boomers in the United States and throughout the world, according to Lee Eisenberg, author of The Number, the best-selling book about re-thinking retirement.  He calls it “Inspiration Deficit Disorder” – or IDD.

Eisenberg told Boomertirement attendees that a major reason Baby Boomers are not planning for retirement is that they are not really sure what they are planning for.

The cure? Eisenberg says financial advisors must become incredibly good teachers who can help Baby Boomers unlock their dreams, hopes and stories – only by understanding clients’ true aspirations can professionals inspire them, and help them address the financial realities of their retirement.
